JavaScript error (a different one)

When I try to run Polycade AGS, it gives me an error, as follows:

Uncaught Exception:
TypeError: Cannot read property 'steam' of undefined

I already tried installing the VC redistributable for the other JavaScript error, but that didn't fix it. I couldn't find any mention of this issue using the forum search, am I the only one having this issue?

Hey there, I know we already figured this out via email but in case anyone else has a similar issue, the way we fixed this was:

Make sure Polycade AGS is closed
Locate the Polycade folder here: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\polycade (you will need to enable "show hidden files" if you have not done so previously, see this Microsoft FAQ for a walkthrough of how to do that if necessary https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2#:~:text=%EF%BB%BFWindows%2010%20%EF%BB%BF,drives%2C%20and%20then%20select%20OK. )
Edit the name of the Polycade folder to polycade-old
Relaunch Polycade AGS

If this solves the problem, you can move your "games" folder from polycade-old to polycade and then delete the polycade-old folder (assuming you have any games in the games folder currently).

This process will overwrite previous configuration files that may be corrupted or glitched.
