I recently was given a polycade lite that had been taken apart.I’ve put it back together but am looking for a diagram of wiring of what to put where on the mother board.I can get the machine to turn on but the monitor does not get signal despite the HDMI being plugged in and the sound doesn’t work. Any pictures would be great.

Assuming the monitor is turning on, you could try changing the input settings with the buttons on the back of it. If it still gets no signal, then the problem could be the HDMI cable or something in the PC. You could try removing the RAM and putting it back in, sometimes that helps. Otherwise the issue could be the CPU, or motherboard.

We don't have a wiring diagram for the sound handy, but if you trace every cable that comes from the amp (the red PCB between the speakers), you'll probably find one disconnected. Also make sure the audio cable is plugged into the green port on the PC.

I just feel something isn’t connected on my computer. I have the speakers plugged in, HDMI, cable to the power button on the bottom, one cable from the power supply that plugs into the board on the top right, the hard drive, and then a rectangle cable on the bottom of the board.

The audio cable should be plugged into the GREEN port!

admin thank you I actually just switched it to see if that would fix the issue. Still no signal to the monitor or sound even when moved.

Ensure the monitor turns on. You will see the monitor brand logo briefly when it first turns on. If not, you may have to check monitor power and / or press the monitor power button.

If that's not the issue, you may have a deeper issue with the PC. Depending on how computer-savvy you are, you may want to hire a local computer technician to solve this for you. Here's a list of potential issues, starting from easiest to hardest:

Ensure monitor turns on
Change the monitor cable (hdmi) with one you KNOW works
Problem with RAM / Memory
Problem with CPU
Problem with Motherboard

I changed the HDMI cable and that actually fixed the issue. I disconnected everything and then reconnected it again. That seemed to fix the sound and monitor issues. The only thing that’s having an issue now is something seems to be off with the player one stick. It jus continues to go right when in a game. Push left only stops the character.

This behavior happens when one of the joystick's microswitches is permanently "pushed down". It's hard to say why this would be happening on a joystick, but generally it's the result of a bad cable (often this can be seen by inspecting the cable and fixed), or the underside of the joystick having something out of place (also visible and fixable). Worst case, you'll need to replace the joystick and it's cable, maybe the controller board.

Then flip it over and unscrew the bottom enclosure (4 screws with silver washers around them).

Inspect the faulty joystick and it's cable. Compare to the working one. If nothing looks off, unplug joystick cable and plug back in. If still not working, replace the joystick (Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT).
