Just wondering if there’s something down on the AGS end?? For a couple days now as I get into my AGS to play some games, I get a checking for update then automatically goes to loading and stays there for the remainder of the time. It’s not scanning for games or what normally comes after checking for updates. The system has been working flawlessly up until a couple days ago. I tried again today and still the same, and I let it sit on the loading screen for over an hour and nothing.

@Gilm345 are you still having this issue? At the time you posted this, we were having some issues with overloaded servers, it's fixed as of a couple weeks ago.

Hello,
I'm not sure if I should start a new thread, but I just started up my PC based Polycade and it went to the update, restarted, then in setup said the app requires Microsoft Visual C++. I went ahead and ran that, then it restarted, and then it popped up again, but this time gave me a "repair" option. I canceled it since I just restarted following a C++ install, and then Polycade hangs up at the "loading" screen. It just stays and never progresses...

Am I missing something obvious?

Might want to try the repair option, maybe something went wrong the first time around. If that doesn't work, try this:

  1. Exit Polycade AGS
  2. Delete this folder: C:\Users[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Polycade AGS
  3. Reinstall Polycade AGS: https://polycade.com/pages/download-polycade-ags
