Thanks, man. I was able to fix the Gamecube controls. Not perfect, as the joystick not only moves the players onscreen, but also functions as the DPad. If I leave the DPAD entries blank, I cannot select a game. But I'm pleased as that's a minor issue (brings up a small box in upper right of screen on NHL hits (to select a defense or offense strategy), but that quickly goes away.
