I received and installed my mainboard rev2 today. This is because the first two (original) mainboards I tried had various problems from complete loss of the video signal to the LED lights not working. I was kinda surprised to see that the rev2 is significantly different than the original!

I was a little confused at first, but figured it out by comparing the two mainboards and looking at this mini schematic.
Some of the sockets have been changed. But the company made it relatively easy by simply supplying adapters to the old wiring. There's also 4 additional USB ports at the top of the rev2! I connected them from the CN9 socket on the mainboard to the USB board (sits to the right of the mainboard); the rev2 comes with the appropriate cable.
The rev2 also came with a newly designed A/V controller (knob and buttons for volume and screen brightness). I basically just disconnected the old one and left its wiring in place, then I ran the new wiring to the mainboard. No more of that gnarly audio hiss!
So far the rev2 has solved all of my hardware issues! Gotta give props to the Polycade guys for recognizing a greater issue and solving it with that rev2 mainboard! If you're having the kind of problems I had been having, I recommend you hit up the company for a rev2 mainboard.
