ROMs don’t show in PolycadeUI

I’ve uploaded several different ROMs in the correct folder paths but even after restarting PolycadeUI the ROMs don’t show. The ROMs worked fine with the previous setup.

I should mention first - we don't yet have support for n64 or gamecube, so if you're testing those ROMs, they won't show. Also, note that we don't yet have sorting or categorization setup, so for now the games display sorted first by platform (steam, arcade, nes, etc), and then alphabetically.

Can you list for us a few filepath examples of ROMs that are not showing up for you? For example:
C:\Users\Flynn\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\arcade\asteroid1.zip

All my games are loaded up in the following:

C:\Users\Polycade\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\arcade\
C:\Users\Polycade\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\NES\
C:\Users\Polycade\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\SNES\
C:\Users\Polycade\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\genesis\
C:\Users\Polycade\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\N64\

There are tens of roms in each and not a single one shows up in PolycadeUI so my guess is something more general rather than the ROMs themselves. Also, these are the same ROMs that I had loaded up previously and many of them worked.

Could it be that this issue might be caused by the fact that I seemed to have a previous version of the software installed on my machine called "Polyface"? Perhaps if there's a way for me to remove all files and trying with a clean install?

The previous installation shouldn't cause a problem.

The PolycadeUI shows a version number in the bottom left corner of the game selection screen - what does this show for you?

Something strange happened, I booted up the Polycade, started PolycadeUI, the app opened but a couple of minutes after it closed and restarted automatically, upon restarting the ROMs were mostly all there and functioning. The PolycadeUI version showing is 0.6.96

Nice! Yea that restart of the PolycadeUI was an update (we need to make it more clear that's happening), so maybe there was an issue with the version you originally got.

How do I get it to update to 0.6.96. I'm stuck on 0.6.93 and having the same rom not showing up problem.

@Atlpitch the interface should update automatically - if it doesn't, try rebooting.
