Some games purchased from Steam may not open to fullscreen mode by default. To change this setting, follow these instructions:
- Launch the game in Polycade AGS
- When you can see the game window, press ALT + ENTER on your keyboard. If the game goes fullscreen, you're done!
- If ALT + ENTER does not cause your game to go fullscreen, then look for the options menu within the game. Somewhere in the game's options will be a fullscreen setting (sometimes this is in a "video options" section within the game options).
- Next time you Quit the game, rather than using the Exit button to quit out of the game, try quitting through the game's main menu. It should save your settings this way.
Once you set a game to fullscreen mode, it should open that way in the future. If this does not happen, try searching the forum for your particular game to see if it’s been solved by one of the members of the Polycade community!
One more thing to keep in mind, some games (and many retro games) original formats are not the same aspect ratio as your monitor, so you might see some borders depending on the original resolution of the game. We're working on adding in more "bezel" graphics to fill this space with nice game art, so this should improve soon.
