Hi all,
I was so excited to get my polycade sente and play with my kids. I have been in contact with support, and they sent a new PC eventually, but after installing the new pc, downloading ONE game form the AGS menu that is included, and playing that game ONE time, when I exited the game (bubble bobble) to the AGS software it hard crashed. so no change.
Previously, with the old pc, it was crashing when opening the polycade menu, exiting, sitting idle, sitting in standby, when waking up the screensaver with the joystick, waking up screensaver with keyboard. Not every single time, but frequently. Random hard crash, full reboot at random times also when sitting idle.
With the new PC sent, I swapped the power brick as well, as the new pc came with one. wanted to make sure it wasn't related to that. It has a little different power switch as well so I swapped that out. Nothing else was changed.
But after all that, it's still doing the same thing. on the original pc we tried turning off fast boot, some things like that. updated windows etc, never saw an improvement. I'm just so disappointed and been fighting these problems from day 1. it's now 5 weeks and the system is very unstable and crashed like 30 minutes in, as described above.
Anyone else have this happen? thoughts on hardware in this system other than the pc that could be causing this? software changes that could be an issue? I have not installed steam or any other third party software, for reference. I sent off an email to support as well, including the event viewer log of the kernel-power crash event. Just hoping someone has an idea to help here, it's just been so frustrating at this point, been unable to really use it for any real amount so far.
