Hello All,
I recently received my Sente with stand and digital marquee. My family was very excited and my wife and I put it all together. We have run into the following issues though, and I was wondering if anyone could help give advice for solutions.
1.) We were short the “small” screws that are used in the digital marquee motherboard and the brightness adjustor (we made it work with only a couple screws, but it’s not ideal.
2.) The nut on the power button could not be loosened to allow us to firmly attach it to the base of the Sente so we are currently using electrical tape to hold it in place.
3.) The marquee doesn’t turn on correctly. The system powers on and whenever the marquee attempts to turn on it makes the whole system flicker. The usually happens in a 3 second loop. This issue happened occasionally the first night and now it happens constantly. I did notice there is a red light that is now on the motherboard of the marquee so that may help identify the issue?
When I was able to load the machine the first night without it being interrupted by the flickering I noticed that the marquee display ratio was incorrect, it only showed it on the top half of the marquee and only for a couple of the games. The rest of the time it just displayed the polycade logo on the top half of the marquee.
When the system loaded the first night you did hear sound, but whenever I attempted to play a game there was no sound.
- Note: We did contact support and they mentioned they will attempt to send us new screws and the nut. They also stated it may be a faulty hdmi to do adapter and are planning to send a new one.
They also sent directions for a potential fix regarding the audio, but I cannot do that yet because the machine flickers every 3 seconds or so and closes the windows screen whenever I attempt to open the display settings.
I did manage to download the AMD update the first night and run a windows update as well.
My wife and I are not super talented when it comes to this level of electronics and just feel a bit overwhelmed with all the potential trouble shooting needed to enjoy our new machine. If anyone can provide insight to help us get this thing up and running we would greatly appreciate it! We are also willing to pay someone to come help us to if you’re in the Nashville TN area!
Thank you for your time and help.
