Wanted to add this as a temporary fix for adding drm-free games. AGS will soon allow path mapping for games, but until then these games must be placed into a specific folder and named a certain way for AGS to pick them up.
Be warned: this is super hacky right now.
Here's how you do it:
- Place the game folder into: "C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\drm-free\"
- Ensure the name of the game folder matches the name of the game's executable file inside (you may omit spaces and case-sensitivity in the exe file name). For example, you could have the folder
C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\drm-free\Rogue Legacy
which contains the executable: C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\polycade\games\drm-free\Rogue Legacy\roguelegacy.exe
- To add image files for the game, create a folder for the game in the assets\drm-free directory, again using the same folder name as you did in the games directory. Using our previous example, this would look like this:
C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\polycade\assets\drm-free\Rogue Legacy
C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\polycade\assets\drm-free\Rogue Legacy\header.jpg
