admin @ncoonce here's another (cheaper) ]board that should have the XInput mode on PC: https://www.amazon.com/EG-STARTS-Encoder-Controller-Joystick/dp/B01L8K21CK/ref=pd_lutyp_ci_mcx_mr_typ_d_2_3/134-8073722-4565833?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01L8K21CK&pd_rd_r=be166cc4-bc25-4933-b942-dc9e8e7a327b&pd_rd_w=8EMmi&pd_rd_wg=sOUSf&pf_rd_p=2e8d8198-54d6-46e1-a3af-ccfafccccd5d&pf_rd_r=8V1K42HKX923B7Z5SDCB&psc=1&refRID=8V1K42HKX923B7Z5SDCB
admin ah cool! Does it show up on your PC as an Xbox Controller? You can check by following these steps: https://home.polycade.com/pages/helphq/#/collection/1260/article/4957
ceo16 good evening, intent greeting the forum. I write from Italy and I am going to build a compact cabinet like yours and then use it with polygame. do you have any advice on what to buy as a trackball?
admin ceo16 The Happ trackballs that @ncoonce linked are commonly considered the best. The usual Polycade uses a 2.25" trackball, while most arcade machines use the 3" trackball. Another option for a trackball is Ultimarc's version, which has the advantage that it can be mounted in a 3/4" thickness panel: https://www.ultimarc.com/trackballs-and-spinners/trackballs/
ncoonce Hi. I’m not sure what you will have available in Italy, but this is the trackball that I purchased: Suzo Happ Trackball Assembly - 3"... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0818F7Q8M?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
admin ncoonce Awesome!! Does Windows see them as Xbox controllers? BTW, pretty sure these boards have the "switching" function where they can change modes. Typically this is done by holding the "function" button down for 10 seconds, then you'll see the device disconnect from windows and reconnect as a different device type (boards we have experience with can switch between these modes: xbox 360 / ps3 / android). How to identify the "function" button? It will be the button that doesn't show a reaction in the windows controller tester. When in xbox mode, the function button performs the "Guide" button action.

I have another question to ask you, if you can have your kind answer. do you use a monitor or lcd panel? I want to use an LCD panel with a board but the market is very expensive because they are almost unavailable. what do you recommend me by staying on the 27 "
ncoonce I used the function button to switch to what shows up as controller. I then used a handy piece of software that was an xbox controller tester, which confirmed everything was setup right. Any update as to when the updated software will be released to backers?
admin Awesome, glad to hear that worked! We're super close to the official beta release, engineering is teasing that it could be tomorrow. Here's a link to the last version if you want to play with it in the meantime! https://polyface-dist.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/win/neo/polyface+Setup+0.9.51.exe
ncoonce I’m currently not getting any audio. Is this a known bug? I get audio form all other sources besides polyface

I can't find anything I like..... wait for your opinion
admin Nice, excellent parts list! We like a 27" screen. Note: get a monitor, not a TV. Should support 1920x1080 at least. If you're into fighting games like Street Fighter, many will recommend a monitor with at least a 2ms response time.
