None of my games work after update. emulators don’t seem to be working

After updating today, anytime I click to start a game in my inventory, it just blinks and drops back to my Home Screen. It seems like the system is no longer finding the emulator and is just failing so it goes back to the Home Screen. Help

Hi Rpmprguy can u check if there is any error message when u launch the AGS in startup?

I am getting two messages saying Mame and Retroarch emulators could not download.

hi @Rpmprguy it appears in some cases the download/update of emulators are not working, we are looking into it

hi @Rpmprguy we just made a new version with a fix for the emulators update/download error, thanks for reporting. Please Restart your AGS to automatically update and get this fixed.

It said it was downloading the update, but after the update and restarting I’m Still getting the same messages about the emulators.

Hi @Rpmprguy in this case, can u clean the following folders pls:

You can Press Windows + R and post each path at a time

%APPDATA%\Polycade AGS\
%APPDATA%\Polycade\temp\

And check if your AGS is on version v1.1.2

I installed a Polycade on a clean version of windows10. Polycade part, install the emulators, but it does not start me the games of the Mame and Retroarch emulators. On another pc with Polycade Ags always updated the same games start.

ceo16 can you launch the emulators and see if it opens?

Do you mean delete everything in them? In the first one there are 85 files and 23 folders

@ceo16 @Rpmprguy the only thing left that i can think of is antivirus, is your antivirus blocking the launch of emulators?

Deleted everything from the folder. Restarted. Still getting the same messages about the emulators and when I check the folder again, everything is back.

Rpmprguy the Polycade AGS folder contains the settings, on startup it creates a fresh instance, i was thinking of some misconfiguration or corrupted file.

if you are still getting an error message on startup, we could try a fresh install.

In order to do a clean install you must follow the following steps:

1 - Uninstall Polycade AGS
2 - Delete the following folders:

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\polyface-updater
%APPDATA%\Polycade AGS\

3 - Delete all folders in Polycade Folder Except games

%APPDATA%\Polycade\

4 - Reinstall Polycade AGS v1.1.2

There are no exe files in the Mame or Retroarch folders. Only CFg files
