AGS: Games
Sounds good!! Thanks for your patience
@Uthuidos can you try installing Windows Media Player, and then see if that fixes your issues with HIPS?
Here's a link to WMP:

Hello,
Yes tried that a while back with no success. Below are the things I have tried since the purchase of the game.
- Downloaded & installed all possible updates from Windows 10
- Turned off BitLocker or anything I could think of dealing with security (assuming it was being blocked)
- Updated graphics driver
- Uninstalled WMP, reinstalled and made sure it was running
- Right clicked on HIPS *.exe and tried to run as administrator
- Tried to use various Windows Compatibility Mode options
Everytime I try to run the game, the cursor responds (spinning blue circle) and then immediately stops with no response from the game as if it is being blocked.
@Uthuidos I think we have the solution. Install this and it should run:

Perfect; that worked like a charm!

Hello,
I noticed a Steam game I purchased loads & plays just fine in AGS; however, it is not loading the image file but instead shows a blue image with the title of the game. How can I get this fixed?
[UPDATE 10/02/21]
Never mind, I found the original image file in the Steam folder and copied it to the AGS assets folder. I will try and find a nice trailer and do the same. Thanks!
We've seen this happen here and there - what game did you see this on?
Hello Polycade Team,
When you find time - in your busy schedules - could you create a thorough/complete controls image for the games "NBA Jam 2000" & "NFL QB Club 2001" from the AGS Store? I am completely at a loss randomly pushing buttons; its too much to memorize. Sad part is the computer beats me without ever having to move because I am like an infant slapping all of the buttons at once in hopes to shoot or throw a ball!
Hey @Uthuidos , sorry for the late reply here. We're going to get this sorted out as soon as we can, but until then there's a work around you can use:
NBA Jam 2000 and NFL QB Club run using the Retroarch emulator. You can get into the retroarch settings and see how things are mapped. Here's a bit more info about control mappings:

Hello, I noticed the SpeedRunners on the Polycade website shows a lot of different levels & characters to play whereas the version I got through the AGS Store seems to be a Beta or Demo version. I cannot pick between characters, create levels or play the story mode. Is this the case with the AGS version and I have to purchase the full blown game via Steam or is there additional updates/dlc’s I can apply to the AGS SpeedRunners version?
The SpeedRunners in the store is a special, simplified arcade version. We may be able to get you the non-arcade version though, shoot us an email!
I recall one of the features AGS was able to do is to combine similar games under one image/instance. Then when picking your game you could choose if you want to play the arcare or nes version.
If I have both SpeedRunners (AGS Store & Steam) and want to keep both for now how can I get SpeedRunners to be under the same logo and when I click into it I can choose the game of choice or is that feature not created yet on AGS just yet? Right now I have two SpeedRunners next to each other under the AGS platform.
Hello Polycade Dev’s,
Out of know where a couple of days ago, only one Steam game lost its AGS image & video assets (9 Monkeys of Shaolin). When I deleted the main game folder “…\AppData\Roaming\polycade\assets\steam\9 Monkeys of Shaolin” and rebooted AGS, it created the folder again but for some reason it was empty. When I moved the asset files into the folder - which typically works - it did not recognize (pickup) the files (e.g., header.jpg, trailerShort.mp4). I also uninstalled the Steam game, rebooted and installed it again with no success. It now shows up as a blue box with the games title.
While downloading some AGS games today (e.g., Game of the Bear, Low Rez Car, Peril, etc…) they downloaded successfully but apear with a blue image and no assets. If I delete the games to allow AGS to re-download them, the same thing occurs. If I grab the assets from the “…\polycade\gamestore-assets” folder and place them in the proper assets folder nothing happens even if I rename it to be header.jpg or header.png. After 30 seconds or so the files rename themselves adding-on the alphanumeric suffix but it still does not get recognized by the AGS platform.
Some of the AGS games (DoReMi, Nosey Joe, The Adventure of Panzer) did not download and if I click on the download button in AGS nothing happens. If I reboot and click download again nothing happens. I tried locating the games in their proper folder so I could delete them to force a re-download but they are not there and I cannot locate them anywhere. It’s as if they are stuck in limbo….
Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.
